The TEDx Del Mar theme for 2011 was “A Search For A Cure.”

One hundred attendees joined us at TEDx Del Mar for a full day of talks by the country’s leading researchers and clinicians at KPBS studios, San Diego’s public television and radio station. We streamed live at the TEDx Live Stream channel on October 15, 2011. Within the next few weeks, we will be preparing recorded versions of each talk for viewing on YouTube and TED.com.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDxDelMar, where x=independently organized TED event.

At our TEDxDelMar event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
